W dyskusji toczonej poniżej wielokrotnie powoływano się na opis metody muchowej w przepisach FIPS-Mouche. Dla lepszego zorientowania Kolegów w tym zakresie pozwolę sobie przytoczyć odnośny fragment:
1.3. Competition sport fly fishing is angling with a conventional fly rod, fly line, fly reel and artificial flies among competitors who are observing a standard, approved set of rules, for no financial reward.
Po polsku oznacza to:
"Konkurencyjne, sportowe wędkarstwo muchowe jest łowieniem ryb Z UZYCIEM konwencjonalnego wędziska muchowego, LINKI MUCHOWEJ, kołowrotka muchowego, i sztucznych much przez zawodników, którzy przestrzegają standardowego, zatwierdzonego zestawu przepisów, bez nagród finansowych.
Ponadto, w FIPS-Mouche Competitioon rules jest zasada, która mówi o tym, że:
"If there is any doubt or dispute over any aspect of the Competition Rules, they will be resolved by interpreting the spirit of the Rules."
"Jeśli powstaje jakakolwiek wątpliwość lub spór odnośnie któregokolwiek aspektu Competition Rules, zostaną one rozstrzygnięte przez interpretację ducha tych przepisów".
