The upper reaches of San, Dunajec and Poprad have some huchen. Automn offers the best fishing , however spinning with large crankbaits is the preffered approach. A good way is also to fish for trout and grayling and when you spot huchen change your tackle and try to stalk the fish with larger flies. The only fish of this species I caught was taken on a large (hook size 6) nymph.Unfortunately it wasn't a specimen (56 cm) so it was released. The salmon tackle you have will surely do the business.Good luck!
