Nice fly John. I've been admiring your work this evening (and your Polish!), you tie a mean fly! Out of curiosity, are you living in Poland, and if yes, have you done much salmon fishing here? If yes, is there much good sport on offer? |

What's the point writing comment in English and pretending to be one when every Tom, Dick and Harry will know straightaway you aren't? |
| john adams: |
I propose to write commentaries in the Czech - it a bit we will have fun |
| G: |
I'm not English Michał, your dead right about that! Scottish if you must know. Are we ok now?

PS. sorry John, i mistakenly assumed that English was your first language, i thought perhaps you were from the US/Canada/UK or somewhere.

Ali,
My mistake :) Those sentences were formed in quite different manner as in UK so I assumed someone was taking a mickey out of John. My apologies.
Salmon fishing in Poland is not at it's best with species extinct for a long time and re-introduction while ago. There are odd big fish caught every now and so often but nothing special. Also rivers aren't great for fly fishing due to depth and limited space behind.
Couple of weeks ago I spent weekend fishing upper Clyde and Annan for trout. Loved it.
Regards,
Michal |

The Clyde and the Annan are two rivers that i had always hoped to fish one day but i never got around to it, most of my fishing was done in and around central Scotland. How did you get on, did you catch many nice fish? |
| Michal Wujek: |
We had few fish up to 2.5 pounds, two biggest on dry. I visited Clyde for the first time and was very suprised. Shallow water with big, deep holes that hold huge fish altough not much interested in flies :( We saw few 7-8 lbs monsters. We mostly fished nymphs with second rod just waiting for any rise :) Stripped peacock quill bodied blue duns were at their best.
I look forward to late season salmon on Dee or Spey.
Let me know where you fish in central Scotland. We may meet one day as I live in London :)
Regards,
Mike
P.S. John Adams is nickname. His real name isvery Polish :) |

Thanks guys, though i have been living in Krakow for the last 6 years (married a beautiful Polish girl . I get home around twice a year, but rarely do i have any time to fish when i'm in Scotland now. I've spent my whole life fishing Scotland so i'm not in need of any help either, but i do appreciate your kind offer.
Of everywhere i have fished in Scotland, if i could recommend just one place, it would be the hill lochs in Assynt. This area is full of small and some large hill lochs, all very wild and full of brown trout. Its a fishermans paradise: my personal favourite is the north side of the Fionn loch (only accessible by a 3 hour hike into the mountains!) http://www.assyntangling.co.uk/
In Poland, i have fished the amazing river San on a few occassions and loved it. Generally, i fish the Raba river or Cholerzyn lake as both are close to Krakow.
Pozdrawiam
